GOOD NEWS! Got a confirmation with flight number! The above poster was right, the breeder was very busy with another whelping and poop scooping. Hopefully it all turns out. For those of you who have picked up shipped dogs, are they very stressed out by it? Someone mentioned it is against the rules to sedate an animal for shipping (doesn't make sense to me) and he will be in flight for several hours including one connection.
Most pups are pretty resilant and manage flights quite well. As long as they are given water as soon as you pick them up he should be fine. Most flight attendants check throughout the flight and give water during the flight. Just allow him to settle at home for a couple of hours before rushing into a big feed rather a little at a time and preferably the same as the breeder was giving him while he was with them.
Good Luck!!! Take lots of pic's when you get em' =O) Plus the ears-I've got a couple idea's for you to try after it gets settled-hehehe lots of tape-and tampons-LMAO-But gotta see them again at a better angle.
btw-Fenice was shipped from Washington-It turned into a 24 hr flight due to poor weather conditions-She was a mess-poop/pee etc...But after a good bath-She was every thing I wanted and more-Good luck with your little one, yes flying is tramatic, but thank god dogs don't have great memories!
I am so glad it worked out for you. I know you have got to feel relieved. Enjoy your last few nights of uniterupted sleep. Haha. Congrats and post tons of pics.
