Americans we are the guilty ones with this! We like our houses big, trucks and SUV's bigger and our food portions super sized but when will it stop? With our waste lines growing, exercise becoming a thing of the past and heart failure on the rise we are heading toward the edge of a cliff, soon to fall from our off balance weeble wobble bodies. I have noticed a trend lately with our Neo's as well. Are we doing this to our dogs too? Due to lack of exercise our dogs are getting fat and from choice of breeding we are looking to "super size" our beloved breed. I for one do not agree with this. I also do not agree with AKC changing the standards for the larger neo. Our Italian breed should follow the same standards as FCI or are we trying to make a American Neapolitan Mastiff? Please take a look at FCI standards then read AKC, did you find the difference between the two? Please give your opinion to the super sized Neo, or do you prefer that to a dog that fits under FCI's standards?
I prefer a fit dog no matter what breed and totally agree with Neos not being overweight or extra large but saying that if a dog is in proportion and doesnt look like the blob then Im not totally against larger.
BTW the Australians are far behind on the weight or large houses I was quite shocked when I first arrived here I walk my dogs which gives me exercise aswell as the dogs kills two birds with one stone LOL (still fat though)
No I dont think most are lucky on that one but its good to try, but back to Neos Moana walks twice a day for at least an hour and today she went with us up on the land the Turkey's werent that impressed with being chased but she enjoyed herself and was fully tired when I dropped her at the vets tonight So good day
No her stitches came out so he is redoing them 4th time now or he will lift her eye lids. Have an appointment with a specialist on the 10th November but meanwhile something has to be done so that she can see. There is so much eye hanging from previous and its a total mess. Paying out all this money and still no papers. Would be nice to know which date they were posted. Maybe I might get an answer on here as I dont seem to get any replies via PM, IM, or email. Hopefully I receive them soon otherwise I will have to re-apply via the breeder. I dont plan on having the most expensive pet in Australia.
Moana's op went well as far as the vet is concerned will only know tomorrow when the bandages come off and I go and collect her feel so bad she stayed at the vets 2 nights now She will be so pleased to come home
